For churches who want to do MP3 recordings of their church services so that they can later burn them onto CD or upload them to a website, there is a 100% free program called Audacity on Sourceforge. You simply need to run a cable from your soundboard to the microphone imput on your laptop or desktop and just start Audacity ...at the start of the service and end it at the end of the service and go in and cut/edit it later (takes 5 minutes). It allows you to export into mp3 or wav files. The beautiful thing about it is that you can cut out mistakes/flubs in the sermon where its near impossible to do that with tapes/cd recording methods.
